This was further complicated because initially we did not realize you can set the camera to number files consecutively and each time we cleared the cards the file numbering started all over again and we had lots of duplicate file names. Reorganization was a big problem as we did not start using Picasa until late 2011 and had a bunch of pictures on the computer that were already uploaded using different programs. Sometimes it was not practical as I needed to transfer to an existing folder with no images. Have used Picasa to make the moves as much as possible. Had watched your videos several times and they were a big help. Am slowly making progress, but no more major problems getting new computer to recognize the transfers to the NAS. Hoping you will once again solve my problem.Įnjoying your new google photos book and hopefully I will get the courage to start moving in that direction after I get my present problem resolved. The photos are displayed on the old laptop in the new location and also on my desktop machine that I checked just to be sure. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Picasa (did not delete the database) but this did not help. The other pictures in the NAS photo folder are displayed on the new laptop but not the recent ones moved from my old computer.įolder manager shows the moved folders as being scanned, but they are not displayed. The move seems to be working fine, but when I go to picasa on the new laptop they are not being displayed. However, I now need to get the photos off my old laptop and am moving them to the photo folder on my NAS using Picasa to accomplish the move.

Purchased a new laptop several months ago and installed picasa without problems.
